Petition: Australian books for Australians

The future of Australian books and Australian stories is under threat. Protect the livelihoods of Australian authors and the jobs of thousands employed in the Australian book industry. Please click on the link to find out more…

We really need your help in the urgent fight to retain territorial copyright for our books in Australia. We need as many people as possible to sign the Australians for Australian Books petition. We need to match or better the numbers signing Dymocks’ petition arguing for an open market which they falsely claim will “bring down book prices”. An open market threatens the livelihoods of our authors and our jobs.

Please encourage as many of your friends, family, suppliers, etc to sign up too, before noon this Friday, 17 April 2009.

Thanks in anticipation.
