The Sir Asher Joel Foundation in association with the Society for the Study of Early Christianity is hosting an evening lecture by Professor Tessa Rajak, Visiting Fellow for the Sir Asher Joel Foundation, to be held in the Museum of Ancient Cultures at Macquarie University.

Professor Rajak has recently retired from her position as Director of Research at the University of Reading, UK, after a long and distinguished career spanning many years of research, teaching and service to the global academic community. She is now Senior Research Fellow at Somerville College, Oxford.
Her special interests include social and cultural history of the Jews in Hellenistic and Roman periods, and early Christianity.
