The Board of the Ludvig Holberg Memorial Fund is now calling for nominations for the Holberg International Memorial Prize 2010 for outstanding scholarly work in the fields of the arts and humanities, social science, law and theology. The prize has a value of NOK 4.5 million (appr. EURO500,000/$700,000*). The Holberg Prize aims to increase society’s awareness of the value of research in the above mentioned fields.
The nomination deadline is 12 October 2009.

Scholars holding a senior position at universities and other research institutions within above mentioned academic fields are entitled to nominate candidates for the Holberg International Memorial Prize. The winner of the Holberg International Memorial Prize 2010 will be announced in March 2010. The official award ceremony will take place in Bergen, Norway in June 2010.
