The core of IAS activities is a funded fellowship program. This allows the IAS to host intellectuals and public figures of world class standing drawn from the full spectrum of science, social science and arts and humanities disciplines. The theme for 2010/2011 is “Futures” (see website for further info). Two types of fellowships are offered,
- ‘distinguished’ (mid/late career scholars) and
- ‘fast-track’ (early/mid career)
Each fellowship is normally offered for a three-month period, the IAS supports 10 fellowships per semester. The first semester covers the period October to December, the second semester covers the period January to March. Each fellowship consists of the use of an office, half board accommodation, teaching buy-out and an honorarium. Closing date 14th June 2009.
