The Asia-Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect is calling for applications for support under the Australian Responsibility to Protect Fund from research institutions and non-governmental organisations that have a demonstrated capacity to produce high quality research or programs of work. The Australian Responsibility to Protect Fund was announced by the Foreign Minister in 2008 and will be administered by the Asia-Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect as part of its joint initiative with AusAID.
Closing Date: 29 May 2009
Applications should focus on either one of two Priority Themes:
- Advancing the Responsibility to Protect concept.
- Supporting States to build capacity to protect populations and prevent genocide and mass atrocities.
Amount Awarded: Funding is between $25,000 and $100,000 per year over two years.
Indirect Cost Recovery: This scheme is exempt from University of Sydney indirect costs.
